Yano left Palau on Saturday for Taiwan and is expected to return on April 4.
Criminal Investigation Section Chief Xavier Ngirameong is the acting BPS Director.Aside from Yano, two other personnel left Palau last week to attend off-island training.Lt. Aloysius Alonz and Detective Prince Idelkei, both of CIS left Palau on March 26 and March 28 to participate in the international training.Lt. Alonz is in Brisbane Australia for International Crime Cooperation Workshop while Detective Idelkei is in New Zealand for Intelligence gathering report training.Ngirameong said the trainings are sponsored by Australia and New Zealand.Ngirameong said aside from Detective Idelkei, an officer from the Bureau of Immigration and Bureau of Customs also left to participate the New Zealand training.
