Mayor Juan B. Tudela, according to his public information officer Tony Benavente, asked for a $1.3 million budget of which $1.2 million will pay the salaries of 62 full-time employees, including the mayor.
“We maintained the same budget level,” Benavente said.
The mayor’s office, he added, has 22 vacant full-time employee positions.
Two years ago, he added, the mayor’s office had 84 employees but some of them either resigned or retired and have not been replaced.
Tudela earlier said they had available funds for their personnel until September this year.
