Javis Pedro provided the outside touch of a 24 points production while Jun Bautista played a furious inside game that resulted to a 16 game output that led to the beating of Ididers with a final score of 83 – 73. In spite of prolific shooting from number two guard of Ididers Temol and small forward Taka who produced 24 and 14 for their team respectively, Rivals were able to contain the other supporting cast of their competitors with their superb defensive stance at the second half action to prevent a potential comeback. With the final minutes remaining and Rivals leading only by a couple of points, Javis and Jun labored once more to finally seal a victory and move on to the next round of the playoffs.
In other matches, Jaguar – DMC fell short in trying to get back after finding themselves down by only five in the conclusion of their match against team Styxers. Jun Lanzuela and Hener Aguinaldo triggered a comeback with their game performance of 18 and 10 respectively for team DMC. However, Una Rikrik being a force in the middle for the Styxers, who finished with 32 points, was able to timely block a shot from a fast break lay up of big man Phillip Manago of DMC that could have cut down their lead to just three points midway to the fourth period.
