CIS arrested man for grand larceny

The suspect was arrested in the morning of May 26 for two counts of grand larceny charges.

Lt. Aloysius Alonz said the suspect was invited for questioning at the CIS office on May 26 in connection with the grand larceny incident that happened on May 22 at the Dngeronger.Lt. Alonz said the suspect was arrested after he admitted committing the crime on May 22 and the other grand larceny incident that happened in April.Alonz said the victim of the two incidents is a worker of WCTC. He lost more than $400 items in both incidents.Alonz said the suspect was a former worker at the WCTC and he knows the victim.The first incident was reported to the police on May 1 and could happen on April 30 through May 1.The victim’s car was parked in front of their barracks in Malakal when the suspect broke into the car and stole speaker worth $120.The second incident happened on May 22 at the WCTC parking lot.The victim’s car was parked at the parking lot when the suspect entered and stole the car stereo, tennis bag containing tennis racket, shoes and tennis balls.The value of the stolen items is $303.Alonz said the suspect was positively identified by a witness who saw him entered the victim’s car.All of the stolen items were all recovered.Alonz said the case was investigated by Officer Marlon Bechab and was already completed and forwarded to the Attorney General’s Office for proper disposition.Alonz reminded the public to be cautious in buying items because it might be stolen items.He said if the person offers to sell an expensive item to a much cheaper price then there is a possibility that the item is a stolen item.Alonz ask the public to call CIS at 4882412 if they encounter such situation.He also asks the Filipino Community to call police for any information regarding any crimes.
