Palau Horizon vehicle which was parked in front of its office in T-Dock was damaged by vandals which appeared to be the same group of offenders who hit the glass door and the glass wall of Kim’s Restaurant in the same area.
The window of the left passenger’s side of the Horizon vehicle was shattered. The suspect also broke the handles of the car’s signal and wiper.An employee of the Horizon saw a young man pick up a rock and later threw it on the car window. The witness said one of the offenders was among the group of young men staying at the Aimeliik abai during the weekend.The abai was located across the Horizon office.Prior to the incident, one of the young man staying at the Abai were in the company of a group of youngsters when he tried to enter the Horizon office, Saturday night.The young man who was drunk was stopped from entering the office by the reporters.While the reporters were driving off in another vehicle, the man, using a wooden stick hit the car’s windshield.The driver then made a stop, to check whether the windows were damaged , one of the companions of the youngster then approached the vehicle , apologized and explained that the man was drunk.The man left the vicinity carrying the wooden stick.In other police reports, a vehicle which was parked in front of the Island Mart in Topside was also shattered when an unknown suspect threw a rock.Another vehicle parked in front of a residence in the same area was also damaged when a suspect threw a hard object.
