The Guam fighters dominated the middle weight match up with Gil “The Guamaniac” Meno outpowering Saipan’s Shane “The Insane” Camacho in the second round and Toby “Big Tobz” taking Slade “The Rage” Adelbai down in a TKO in the third.
And with Kelvin “The Big Hit” Fitial and Myron “The Natural” San Nicolas defeating their Guam counterparts, Manny “The Enforcer” Chong and Eric “Terror” Edtaotao, CNMI secured the semi-main and the heavy weight titles.
Both aiming to finish the match in a stand up fight, Chong and Fitial exchanged blows right from the start of the first round.
Fitial caught Chong in the corner and tried not to give the Guam fighter any more chance to recover. The Marianas Elite fighter won by knock out in four minutes and 47 seconds of the first round.
Chong said he always got caught within range of Fitial who managed to make the best use of his arm length advantage. He confirmed being a stand up fighter and wanted to keep the fight that way.
Fitial on the other hand said he did all the best he can to end the fight via knock out.
Prior to his trip to Saipan, Chong, a veteran from Guam Police Department in Inarajan has told Variety he was clearly looking forward to figure in Saipan fight to avenge his loss to Fitial in the 2006 Fury MMA event, but insists he will treat this foray as just ‘business as usual.’ Despite his age, Chong has traveled to NMI four times to do battle on Saipan, returning home victorious each time.
“Age is nothing but a number,” he warned anyone thinking his age, adding, “there is nothing old about me. After all,” he cracked, “40 is the new 20.”
Meno and Camacho also engaged themselves in a stand up fight in the first round. The last minute of second round however ended up Meno clutching Camacho who got exhausted and tap himself out of the fight in two minutes and 46 seconds.
In the second middle weight fight, referee Tony DiAngeleo had to stop the fight when Tedtaotao’s right side of the face started swelling. The fight went in favor of San Nicolas via TKO.
The kickboxing match gave MMA fans an early thrill when Sonny Chargualaf tried to claim his opponent’s monicker by taking the first move against Maitai “The Charger” Charley.
Chargualaf charged first and followed it up with a reverse round house kick. Charley retaliated with a reverse round house blow.
The Guam kick boxer’s left leg front kick put Charley to the canvass but the Saipan fighter quickly went on his feet.
A low blow hit him too bad that referee DiAngelo had to give him a few minutes rest. Round 1 ended and Chargualaf verbally submitted himself before the second round, handing Charley the victory.
Guam’s Jun “Shockeraba” San Nicolas defeated Saipan’s Martin Ayuyu via referee stoppage in three minutes and 39 seconds of the first round as Guam fighter poured Ayuyu with flurry punches.
Tony “Rush” Reyes of Guam beat Saipan’s Ryan Gardee via tap out in one minute and 56 seconds.

Saipan’s Fasi “Quickdraw” Jesse defeated Guam’s Warren ‘The Killa” Quinata by referee stoppage in 4:26 minutes.
Saipan’s Nate “The Terrible” Flores finished his fight victorious when Guam’s “Infamous” Ray Apiag yielded to his arm bar.
