Why is it that the U.S. Fish & Wildlife continues to make excuses of protecting endangered species, but yet the U.S. military bombs the living daylights of wildlife species on Farallon de Medinilla?
Has your division done any assessment or investigation into how many nightingale reed warblers died as a result of the military bombing on FDM?
This in itself is a major violation. Does U.S. Fish & Wildlife have any report or data on such bombings? Does your division have any knowledge of what endangered species are on FDM? If not then the CNMI should issue your federal agency a citation for violating your own laws.
Mr. Souza, the continued condemnation of our natural resources must end, and we do suggest that Fish & Wildlife, in consultation with our government, locate a sizable land area and designate one WILDLIFE REFUGE instead of condemning our lands by the numbers.
Furthermore, under the FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT, we would like to obtain information concerning all the data and reports indicating the number of endangered species on Farallon de Medinilla.
Your prompt response on the matter will be greatly appreciated.
