McDONALD’S of Saipan and Guam joins a growing list of sponsors when it donated a $5,000 hole-in-one prize to the Marianas Variety Founder’s Memorial Golf Tournament set for Saturday, April 2 at 6 a.m., LaoLao Bay Golf & Resort, West Course.
McDonald’s Saipan and Guam executive assistant to the president Mable A. Glenn, along with staff, presented the donation to MV’s accounts receivable clerk Jennifer Younis, advertising and sales executives Dianne Lumapas and Gwendolyn Sandig, and account executive and advertising manager Jeanette Sarabia on Thursday at the McDonald’s office in Dandan.
“Marianas Variety has actually been our partner with everything involving publishing and marketing,” Glenn said. “So when we heard about Marianas Variety coming up with this golf tournament, we just jumped at the opportunity. We’ve built a relationship with them over the years, so we’re lending a helping hand as they have done for us with our golf tournaments and throughout the years that they have been in existence. We’re really excited to continue our partnership,” she added.
“They are celebrating 50 years and that is an accomplishment in itself. And they are honoring their father, the founder of Marianas Variety, and that is very important. With McDonald’s, we are a family business, too. For myself, I take it very personally. We really believe in this golf tournament and we are very excited about it,” Mable said.
