Abed was also one of the early members of the Saipan Rotary Club, a charter of the nonprofit global business organization devoted to its slogan, “Service Above Self.”
Publisher & President Amier C. Younis and his predecessor, Laila, also served as Past Presidents and continue to be active in Rotary clubs.
“Rotary was and is such an integral part of our family, we grew up around it and so it is natural for us to not only be members, but also be a partner of its many activities, and events,” said Amier.
Marianas Variety continues to be a main sponsor for the Club’s signature fundraising event, Las Vegas Night, when the community can enjoy a night of Las Vegas style gambling to help raise funds for worthwhile community projects, such as the Garapan Skate Park and the Children’s Playground in Kagman.
Saipan Rotary Club members, along with Abed Younis, are sworn in as officers for the Saipan Rotary Club.
