BLACK 8 Rack N Roll 2 and True North Noypi Striker 2 continued their rise in the Thursday Division leaderboard of the 2025 SBA Budweiser Open 8-Ball League, each defeating their respective opponents in separate matches.
Black 8 Rack N Roll 2 ended the night with 46 wins after decisively beating Tom Yum Yummy, 10–3, at the Tom Yum Restaurant.
Rack N Roll were dominant across nearly all sets.
Their momentum began in the opening Singles 8-Ball set, where Mei Rengiil led the charge by leaving her opponent with six balls. She was backed by John Reyes, Fel Kalen, and Anson Smith, completing a clean 4–0 sweep.
Tom Yum Yummy managed to hold their ground in the first Partners 8-Ball set, as Lar Wongpanya and Pepsi Pomdi collected their team’s first point by splitting the set, 1–1. But Rack N Roll quickly regained control in the second Singles 8-Ball set, pulling off a 3–1 run to stretch their lead to 8–2.
Before the night ended, Yummy’s Jack Unsa and Ivan Sales managed to soften the blow by splitting the second Partners 8-Ball set. However, Rack N Roll sealed the blowout with a win in the final Partners 8-Ball game, ending the match 10–3.
Also joining the winner’s circle were True North Noypi Striker 2, who edged out Last Shot Hobbies Chokie Chokie, 7–6.
The match was tightly contested from the start, with both teams splitting the opening Singles 8-Ball set, 2–2. Chokie Chokie briefly took the lead by sweeping the first Partners 8-Ball set, pulling ahead 4–2.
After another 2–2 split in the second Singles 8-Ball set, Noypi Striker 2 leveled the score with a clean sweep in the second Partners 8-Ball set, tying it 6–6.
In the decisive final Partners 8-Ball game, Domino Antonio and Rjhay Singca completed the comeback, defeating Brian Kai Bernabo and Gerald Cubal to seal the 7–6 victory.
