OPINION ǀ Truth 137: We Need Champions, Not Parasitic Behavior!

THE Truth is being deemed the “Nostradamus of the CNMI,” it is vital that I remind Our Leaders and the People of WHY the CNMI (Dreamed) joined the American Family, which was with the hopes and sincere PRAYERS the CNMI would eventually “develop & grow to become more like the mainland of America” in virtually every way of life.  The air-of-patriotism was big and the DREAM of economic opportunities with citizens achieving the American Dream that is now LOST and needs to be FOUND! For TRUE, the Local People are True Patriots, however, the leaders have been leading the people astray using deflecting & gaslighting poli-tricks as nearly half-a-century later the American Dream is not being sought by Locals here but those who continue to migrate to the mainland of America at an alarming rate.  Ambrodamus has been warning about the “migration pattern that continues to adversely affect the CNMI” as WE see our leaders saying & doing all kinds of things FOR the CWs & Chinese Tourists. However, other than our Education Institutions, the CNMI Government is doing TAYA to address the migration pattern, especially of our youth, to the mainland, as we even teach the importance of “migration patterns” in high school Social Studies. WE keep losing our most valuable resource — People!

More than ever the CNMI needs a real Star to Champion our dying economy & quality of life that is being decimated by inflation & Trump, as the average person in the CNMI is on a “fixed income.” Our Economy is now on “Life Support” given MVA’s recent prediction about the imminent DEATH of our Tourism Industry is looming if the Government doesn’t intervene in some “way, shape, form or fashion.” But the BIG problem for the CNMI is No Leaders wants to really CHAMPION anything “New and/or Better for the CNMI,” thus our leaders continue to remain in the “Parasite Mode.”  Even before Covid they were starving life with austerity followed by taxes and then actually planning with the last two budgets to feed-on military build-up, Federal Funds, and Loans. We only have a parasitic plan for the CNMI but nothing in plans that WE can do for ourselves to improve things.  Oh, and don’t forget the imaginary GOP proposed investors WE are still waiting on for our economy to perform. If WE want the CNMI to be more like America with real opportunities for the People, our youth and businesses, WE must CHANGE, as these growing pains are literally killing us-all figuratively.

Being an Economist, it’s clear to me our leaders don’t know WHAT, nor HOW, to Reform our Tourism Industry and our economy, which is OUR big problem People (voters). It should be “perfectly Clear” by now that Ambrodamus’ call for an Economic Recovery Plan is the solution to reforming our Tourism Industry and even the entire CNMI for the Better. Our leaders have obviously “FAILED to Do their jobs” by addressing the many challenges that WE could have fixed ourselves.  They are moving at a “snail’s paste” taking forever just to lease the Mariana Resort & to help the NMDs not to mention the things by Zaldy, Ambrodamus and Mr. Steve Jang brought to our leaders’ attention. But it’s like I previously said “toooo many of our leaders pretend to be ignorant about things in the newspaper out of Fear & Accountability when it’s their job to keep their eyes, ears, and hands on the pulse of the CNMI,” which can’t be done without reading the ONLY newspaper. Is it really going to take a “come-to-Jesus-moment,” as we say in my culture, given things being so BAD now the only way left is UP!  I must ask, are WE going to have leaders who will try to Champion issues and our Economic challenges FOR the People come 2026 or the Same-O leadership and their “Parasitic behavior” and no Economic Plan to execute continue.

For me it’s, like Gov. Froilan once said in so many words wanting to break with Feds that, WE, the CNMI, is depending too much on the military, the Feds and Loans that is leading to our impotency to Develop & GROW the CNMI. This dependency has led to the lackadaisicalness of our leaders searching for investors and creating more partnerships with other potential countries for tourists, as you can BET no leaders has made calls & sent letters to entice attractions & investors, just waiting. Allowing our leaders to continue with their parasitic behavior with “no checks & balances with oversights” which is really what GUARANTEES Democracies THRIVES is OUR biggest mistake — Voters! And WHERE are our Dems, as “FAILING to Do” the fiduciary duties of checks & balances with oversights to hold the Government accountable to the People for the IMPOTENCY only “incubates & leads to more impotency in delivering the proper & necessary New Reforms to bring in New Tourists & New Money through New Investors” for a BETTER Economy, which can only happen with a PLAN! Why is it so difficult for our leaders and even many citizens to come to realization that “WE need a Plan BAD,” so please start demanding one for us-all! Every voter needs to be asking every candidate “what is your PLAN to Champion anything FOR the People or the CNMI??? WE the People must DEMAND that WE want a Champion representing the People, not a Parasite.  Heck to make it worse, Angel Demapan whom the GOP wants us to view as Champion is now making news in The Daily Signal News on how “Chinese nationals have entered the U.S. through a strategically vulnerable Pacific Islands territory, where a former politician who [allegedly] took campaign contributions from China-based companies now helps oversee that territory in the Trump administration.” Ralph also allegedly received money from China, as China & Trump are going to be the end of us yet, but I pray I’m wrong.

One People, One Direction.
