Letter to the Editor: A Christmas message

It does not matter where we came from or what we, struggling Christians, profess to believe about the very purpose of Christ’s birth and public ministry. What matter is how we give utmost value to His teachings about peace, forgiveness and charity and how we live with them. When we tend to meditate more and more about our Lord’s first coming to earth, it benefit us in many ways.

His teachings help us strengthen our faith in Him so we can build a very strong character that will help us be happy and approach perfection. Are we not called the most blessed generation of sons and daughters of God as we truly incorporate the purpose of Christ’s birth and His teachings into our daily life?

In the book of Matthew, chapter 5 verses 1-12, we will find the basic guide on how to be a real forgiving Christian. It teaches us the “beatitudes” which come from a Latin word meaning “to be happy” or “to be blessed.”

Regarding the so-called “Second Coming to Earth,” I firmly believe that people should not be afraid about it. All Jesus Christ asks us to do is to be more peaceful, forgiving and charitable no matter what the consequences may be.
