I told readers he would reap his vengeance the same way he did when it was time for him to run a second term and everyone in his administration was jumping ship, including his Lt. Governor. He is now doing the same ugly thing when he said the only thing the Fitial administration can do to stem the deficit is to lay off non-essential government employees on Rota and Tinian, whose senators killed his Saipan casino bill.
I was taught at a very early age that vengeance belongs to God only, not us and it is clear the former speaker is trying to invoke his own brand of vengeance. I just hope voters are taking note of who (Diego Benavente) is really speaking up for the people and what is best for the CNMI, especially the idea of cutting down the size of the legislature that Rep. Benavente talked about on the TV news. Diego is out there fighting while others are still sitting on the sidelines playing the “safe game” of politics that I talked about. The former speaker wouldn’t have a chance if we the people had everyone we elected to be IN the game not watching a one on one play figuratively. Remember, politics is a TEAM sport but the former speaker is beating the entire Legislature by himself because he is stopping them from even running a play to get things done.
I also warned the public that more was coming to force us to accept the Casinos and the former speaker is being true to form, which is why it was sooooo easy to predict more of his antics to get casinos. I just wish Rep. Benavente would have forced the former speaker to tell who the financial backer is for this Casino since the administration wants to keep it a secret. Revealing this critical information will also reveal the true source as to why our leaders don’t want to find other solutions to our economic challenges to fix our economy. You don’t have to be a detective to see someone doesn’t want the CNMI to prosper unless it with their casinos.
I truly believe someone is pulling the strings of the former speaker and our Executive for them to keep this Casino up. The Legislature needs to do their home work and expose the financer who is calling the shots and his skullduggery of a plan with the former speaker as the point man. Every time the former speaker opens his mouth NOTHING productive gets done in the Legislature and they end up back on the casino.
The former speaker is obviously the point man now and we the people need to know WHO he is working for because it is not us when the majority of voters and the Legislature has told him NO to casinos three or four times. The House has let the former speaker stop everything and trying to make everyone he can suffer until he gets what he wants. He’s not ashamed and even heartless to assert firing people and the governor made it worse by saying he was going to get rid of bodies, as if these people were worthless or dead. Now we see the true colors and the devil is clearly in the details.
We have four more years with the present administration and the Legislature needs to do their home work and put a stop to this Casino idea once and for all time so we can move on or we will be at this for another four years — going nowhere FAST! The GOP should also step in and hold the Governor accountable for promoting the GOP’s Platform to at least give us a chance to start a recovery from this economic mess since the Governor has pledged to be a GOP member again. The Governor should look at the GOP Platform and start using it because there were many things in the platform he could do to help jump start our economy — his plan obviously didn’t WORK!
I told you so about the former speaker even though my critics don’t want people to even read what I write, much less listen. But I’m sure the truth and facts that I have constantly shared will always prevail with readers like they just did — the truth lives forever and lies have a short life — so time has ALWAYS been on my side! It is time to put the former speaker and the administration on the spot to put up the name of these investors they have been fighting for! One people one direction for putting an end to the Casino idea so we can move on to find real economic prosperity
