Letter to the Editor: Going after the big fish

Bamba has loans from the Guam Economic Development Authority that he allegedly has not fully repaid.

Just making sure all the highly paid members of administrations, both current and from past decades, pay their dues in full and in a timely manner will not be enough to cover the government’s revenue shortfalls.  If the Guam Legislature grows a spine and adds a tax on wholesalers, for example, maybe there would not be much need to stick our collective hands out to the federal government for assistance with military buildup.

It is ironic that folks who have always advocated for lower or no taxes have no shame in requesting the taxpayers from the mainland to help cover the civilian side of the buildup.
