Every state AND municipality in the United States has regulatory bodies that control things like utilities, telephone, and insurance amongst other things. We, the citizens and residents of Saipan want accountability.
We want to see the numbers and we want to do the math.
Not CUC.
CUC must be regulated. They must be held totally accountable for their past expenditures. This is going to be an investigators dream. When the feds do arrive (and I pray for sooner rather than later) they will have a field day with CUC and its accounting practices. I’m sure they will have many more questions which ultimately lead to the total resolution of the problem.
I call for the CNMI Legislature to create a regulatory agency which will oversee CUC. I applaud Rep. Tina Sablan in her efforts to stop this reign of terror that CUC has put on our shoulders. We need to carry this concern into action.
