According to a report, “The increase was attributed to significant improvements in the institution’s operating revenues” generating a 14.5 percent increase in tuition and fees from students.
I ask these serious questions to the four regents currently on a two-day conference and BOARD RETREAT (vacation) in Hawaii: Who was at the helm of NMC in 2008 that attributed to the increase in net assets to NMC? What happened to the illegal hiring and improper use of NMC’s funding in the hiring of Guam-based law firm Cabot Mantanona without the board’s approval obtained by the board chairperson? How much will such a BOARD RETREAT (vacation) cost NMC? Include hotel, transportation and restaurant expenses and all other expenses incurred. The students have a right to know where their funding is being spent and what are the benefits gained by such a conference or BOARD RETREAT.
