When public officials are caught red-handed they should be prosecuted so that the law of the land will be more effective. Those who commit wrongdoing, whoever they are, should be held responsible and accountable.
For example, in some land compensation criminal cases, the administration and the Legislature have done little or nothing to investigate and bring certain public officials to justice. The real land owners who are the real victims have not received their compensation. Public officials look the other way and turn a deaf ear and a blind eye on land owners who have been victimized by their own lawyers in cases that are still pending.
These are the types of criminal wrongdoing that need to be looked into and get investigated right away. The government should go after those who stole money from landowners. Instead, the government wants to help itself by taking away the compensation belonging to the Rita Kaipat estate families. This is one land case that has been waiting for real justice for years and years now.
