To those elected leaders wondering whether they will be re-elected, just make sure that you are doing your best in defending the interest of your people. But if you do not do anything about the budget then I think the voters will see that their interests are not being protected. So think hard before voting on any other bill besides the interest of your constituents.
Regarding the Retirement Fund, I would like to ask Representative Yumul about the issue because I read that the speaker assigned him to protect the Fund and make sure its investments are not depleted.
We have future retirees that are working hard for their future and if the investment portfolio is depleted then where in the world would all these future retirees get their living?
I would like for Representative Yumul to give us feedback about the issue.
Should the leaders recommend that they float a bond then so be it, because the future of all present employees depends on it. Let’s protect the interest of all employees not just the few. We all look forward to our future. Never think that just because it’s election year you will not protect the interest of all employees. THE SEEDS OF TODAY ARE THE FRUITS OF TOMORROW!
