Letter to the Editor: The bad roads of Kannat Tabla

For the past 18 years we have been waiting for our local government to fix our bad roads. But the local government has been ignoring our road situation. It is already a go-project, but our good governor reprogrammed the  funds for something else as if we are not voting citizens. Election campaign comes and goes and different lawmakers have been in office but still nothing has been done.

After 18 years I believe that our patience is over, and it’s about time to express our concerns to our lawmakers.

The freedom of speech gives me the right to speak. So I am writing to the editor to air my opinion and concerns.

When the election season started, candidates would visit at your residence, knock on your front door and ask for your vote of confidence. When they win they would put up their billboard sign saying “Thank you for your vote of confidence.” They forgot to go back to my residence and knock on my front door and say, “thank you.”

So now let me ask you, what is the problem? Is it the money, the equipment or is it our “leaders”? Tell us please. Is it fair to say that when the election season comes again I would also put up   a sign on my lot saying, “Fix first our road then I will vote for you.”

As a U.S. citizen I have the right to vote or not to vote. My lawmakers, stop promising the people because you guys are in violation of the 10 Commandments. All your promises are in the hands of the Lord, and you are committing a sin.

My lawmakers, do what’s good and best for all the good people of the commonwealth and they will never criticize you or complain.
