The problem is we have a team full of individual players that don’t want to play together with a coach (a governor) who keeps calling the wrong political plays which is the government’s biggest problem. The biggest challenge for voters is to get the best TEAM in office but we keep electing individual players who are really for more for their political careers which is why we see the constant jumping across party lines. Everyone should have learned this lesson, especially when the Governor told you he created the Covenant Party so he could be Governor, which was clearly a personal act that all but destroyed the GOP Team. In fact, there is a group now called the GOP of Convenience and they know who they are, I just wish the leaders of the GOP would expose this group because it is not my job but someone needs to do it. As you can see, we the people still have a very long ways to go when it comes to creating a championship political team.
As usual, the proof about our dysfunctional team is in the details. I couldn’t believe that the Mariana House, which belongs to the CNMI, sits vacant in the middle of Washington, D.C where Real Estate and housing has prime value for two years. This is a very big house which could have brought in a lot of rent money at the very least. But I’m sure most people with common sense are also asking why isn’t our delegate living in this house?
The Governor and our Delegate haven’t worked together at all. I’m sure every blind person can see the problem with our political team and the lack of teamwork. This is just another example of why voters need to be smarter to protect themselves and the CNMI from the pitfalls of bad politics.
The Senate is sending a Resolution to Kilili to seek pay for the implementation of Federalization to off-set the economic hardships placed on the CNMI as a direct result of Federal Law. This is what we should have done in the first place instead of a lawsuit. Our delegate can introduce the Bill but without hard data as “proof” the Bill will just end up collecting dust.
The first thing the feds are going to ask Kilili is “where is the BEEF” — meaning where is the proof? Kilili is not a Democrat of the mainland party and he is not on the GOP team either who rules the Lower House. So we know these facts alone greatly reduces our chances of success even more. We the People are not giving our self a chance to win in the CNMI or in Washington and we keep shooting ourselves in the foot too often in the voting booth. I wish I could help and God knows I have tried because I can see from the upper bleachers that we need some coaches (political strategists) bad. But we all know the Wall of Social Imperialism will never let me on the team and certainly won’t let me call a play or lead. But for TRUE — Time is On My Side, yes it is because as time goes by the more proof will be revealed — so the powers that be can keep ignoring me but sooner or later the TRUTH about what I’m saying will reveal itself.
Voters need to realize that We the People are the President and General Manger of our political team and we the people must make real BUSINESS decisions in the voting booth, not popularity decisions as we have in the past. The political game is unlike any other competition on earth because people actually LIVE & DIE by the results — so if we want to live better we had better learn to vote better to get the best players and the best team on the field. People complain about the GOP but it was ONLY during the times when the GOP was a solid team (party) that We the People experienced a period of economic success — a lesson in our own history to be learned about team work. One people one direction for better voters and a better team in the future!
