Ruth was given a framed copy of the resolution that had been altered by a frustrated individual, not by me. The tampered version she received should never have been given to her in the first place.
It was never my intention to slight Ms. Tighe’s accomplishments, nor to praise her either, but simply to remain neutral. While I have reservations about many of her positions and activities, I bear her no ill will and did not attempt to embarrass her, or me, by crossing out my name off her wall trophy.
The correct version of the resolution, without my name as a signatory is available at the Legislative Bureau office should she care to replace the bogus copy she has now.
