(Press Release) — Local art and culture promotion event “First Friday” is back.
For the month of May, Marianas Creations will be collaborating with artist Greg Bacnis.
Marianas Creations will host May’s First Friday on May 6, 2022 at its location on Micro Beach Road, From 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
This First Friday Marianas Creations will be joined by artist Greg Bacnis, said Elina Gharti Chhetri, owner of Marianas Creations.
Bacnis has been painting since he was 8 years old and has never stopped. He won the Governor’s Choice Award at the Flame Tree Arts Festival 2016 and 2018. He uses several different mediums to express his art such as charcoal, pastel, oil and acrylic. Several artists, such as Martin Castro Jr., Jakie Fujuhira, James C. Bamba, Antonette Labausa, David & Lani Vinyard, Veronica Celia Mendez-Arriola, and others will have their work and products available during the event.
Bacnis always has a booth at Flame Tree Arts Festival with his artwork and he usually does live sketches at the festival.
This First Friday, Bacnis will be doing his live sketches for anyone who is interested during the event at Marianas Creations. This is a great opportunity to get a personalized sketch of yourself of your family, said Gharti Chhetri.
Marianas Creations will also be serving local drinks, craft beers, handcrafted cocktails including local liquor from Mariana Breeze, local coffee from Marianas Coffee Co., and locally produced sodas. They will be serving a plate of the day entree and several appetizers too during the event.
In addition, it is an open mic for anyone who would like to share their talents in singing, instruments, poetry, comedy, dancing, etc.
Marianas Creations is currently soliciting for artists interested in showcasing their work to contact the shop. Additionally, they are seeking anyone who produces local products to contact the shop.
