
As the Budweiser’s King of the Grill Competition draws nearer, Joeten Wholesale announces that it is donating a top seller to chefs participating in the professional division of the competition.
Joeten Inc. marketing manager,Lorenzy Leo, confirms that chefs will have access to Joeten’s top sellingNew Zealand shoulder steak.
“We chose New Zealand shoulder steak because it’s a versatile product,” says Leo. We’re excited to see how the chefs can turn this specific cut into a delicious dish.”
Leo adds that customers of Aiko’s Deli have enjoyed the flavor and texture of shoulder steak for years, as it is a regular feature of the menu.
The contest takes place on Saturday, June 17, starting at 5 p.m. during the Taste of the Marianas Food Festival and Beer Garden at Garapan Fishing Base.
Teams of professional cooks, chefs, and kitchen assistants will be going head-to-head and grill-to-grill in teams in the Chefs Division.
The public is invited to take part in selecting the winner of the Chefs division. Voting ballots will be available at the Taste of the Marianas fairgrounds where community members can sample the food being prepared for competition.
Aside from the professionals in the Chefs Division, grillers will be competing for an off-set smoker donated by Triple J in the Indies Division. Fans of BBQ ribs won’t want to miss out on this, as the Indies Division will be using the succulent cut of meat in their recipes.
