Meet Eucon’s student council members

Nathan Smith is currently in his final year in college. “As student body president I try to lead by example. I’m a servant leader. I lead by serving others and I hope that my fellow students will see that. I want them to see the kind of embodiment that Eucon represents,” said Smith.

Justin You states that he wants to serve others just as he serves God. The group aims to support and promote Christian lifestyle. “We left our home countries to study here. Being able to be here and serve others is a blessing for us. Even if sometimes the work is too much, we know that Jesus is always there to help us.”

“I’m really interested in participating in the student council because I saw what the student council last year did. I want to be a part of that and I want to do something for the college and the students,” said Guo.

Jia and Xu both say that serving others is important for them. Xu likes planning  events and making sure that they are successful.

“We just work well together as a group and we aim to promote unity. We are the representatives of the Eucon ideology and we want the students to see that,” concluded Smith.

Despite the small number of college students Eucon is also open for K4 to 12th grade students. Last week they just held their Spirit Week and ended it with a carnival.

The Eucon community invites the rest of Saipan to participate in any upcoming events they may hold. “We don’t only do this for the school but also for the community. Everyone is welcome to participate,” said Xu.

On Nov. 18 they are holding a concert in the Agape Auditorium at 6 p.m. They will have an accomplished opera vocalist as a guest performer from Guam.
