On Friday morning, Gov. Ralph DLG Torres, Northern Marianas Humanities Council Executive Director Leo Pangelinan, members of the Northern Marianas Humanities Council, Siñot Manny F. Borja, Master Navigator Cecilio Raiukiulipiy, and other members of the community October as CNMI Humanities Month at the Santa Lourdes Shrine. “I call upon the people of the Marianas to celebrate and promote the humanities and encourage greater participation among our diverse communities in taking action for the humanities in their respective islands and villages,” the governor said. “The humanities allow us to delve into the concept of the human experience and teach us how to be critical thinkers and more informed citizens. Let us continue to support our Northern Marianas Humanities Council as a catalyst for discussions about who we are as a people.”
