HAGÅTÑA (IHFG) — I Hagan Famalåo’an Guåhan Inc. is hosting a series of presentations and workshops focusing on creative expression and art by women and gender diverse creatives.
IHFG has partnered with Sagan Kotturan CHamoru to present Famalåo’an SKC, a panel discussion highlighting the important roles women have played in the formation and management of the cultural center, which serves as a site of knowledge transmission and indigenous cultural revival. The panel will include master carver and organizer Jill Quichocho Benavente, her apprentice Kerriann Borja, and Amber Benavente, SKC Interim Director and Board Member of Inadahen I Lina’la’ Kotturan CHamoru. IHFG also presents Magof Nochebuena with Microchild on Friday, December 17, at 6 p.m. on our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/haganguahan. For this special premiere on Facebook, Shannon McManus, Jon Glaser, and Siobhon McManus will perform their renditions of popular CHamoru Christmas songs.
