Beginning at 11 a.m. tomorrow, this becomes possible as Family Golf, Saipan’s very first computer screen golf opens its doors for golf enthusiasts, professionals and amateurs.
Located at the ground floor of the Fiesta Resort Hotel & Spa, the Family Golf is Saipan’s first screen play based on a real golf course. It has 50 courses programmed and the players can enjoy other modes like stroke play, match play, exercise, long drive, and the nearest pin.
“We can accommodate from two to four players at one time,” Pacific Creations, Inc. president Tetsuro Watasi said.
He said that with the opening of Family Golf, golfers need not worry if it is raining or already dark. They can play when they feel like playing.
For individuals who want to learn golf, Watase said this is the best way for them to do so without having to go to an actual golf course.
“Professionals can choose from the different modes and beginners can choose the exercise mode in playing,” Watase said.
Game fees are $48 per hour, $6 for club rental fee and $10 for 30 minutes for exercise or beginner’s mode. Watase said that they are open for membership starting tomorrow, at a fee of $200 for one year.
“Card holders or members can enjoy a discounted rate of $24 game fee per hour
