Starting at 10:30 a.m. today, Taco Bell will be offering the latest addition to its line of delicious food items—the Volcano Menu which can be considered as the fast-food’s spiciest item they will be offering on their menu so far.
Dubbed with the tagline “seriously spicy”, Taco Bell’s Volcano Menu is composed of the Volcano Taco and the Volcano Double Beef Burrito. These new items come with spiciness that some may describe to give you hallucinations when you first try it.
Volcano Taco is made of crunchy red corn tortilla shell filled with seasoned ground beef, crisp lettuce, shredded cheddar cheese and topped off with Taco Bell’s new cheesy, molten hot lava sauce. Volcano Burrito is made of flour tortilla that’s packed with a double portion of seasoned ground beef, seasoned rice, crunchy red tortilla strips, shredded cheddar cheese, cool sour cream, and the new cheesy molten hot lava sauce.
Connie Mendiola and Yole Panganiban, KFC/Taco Bell managers said that once you’ve built up your tolerance for it, it may even become an addiction.
The Volcano Taco may be new in the island but the spicy taste is not new to the residents of the island.
“Even children here have a high tolerance for spicy flavors,” Mendiola said. She said as an option to Lava Sauce, you may go for the Fire Sauce in your taco.
The Volcano Double Beef Burrito is a blissful concoction of seasoned rice, beef, Lava Sauce, Red Strips, Sour Cream, and Cheddar Cheese. These two items can be ordered individually but to complete your “volcanic experience” at Taco Bell, you can go for the whole works and order the Volcano Box containing a Volcano Taco, a regular taco, volcano double beef burrito, crispy cinnamon twirls and a medium-sized drink.
On-going breakfast menu
Panganiban said that KFC’s breakfast menu has become a hit and is going strong after its re-launching last May.
Breakfast is available from 8 to 11 a.m. daily, and customers can choose from the six power-packed combinations of breakfast that is customized to suit the island life.
Start your day with a huge serving of island friend rice which comes with free drinks and your choice of any of the “123456 breakfast menu”—1 piece chicken, 2 pieces crispy chicken strips, 3 pieces hot wings, 4 pieces chicken nuggets, Chicken burger and Chicken patty with biscuits.
Double rice serving
Here’s another bonus from KFC because starting today, they will be doubling their regular serving of steamed Chamorro rice.
“We want the best for our customers, and we want them to leave our establishment totally satisfied. We will be serving rice at twice the size for the same price,” Panganiban said. She added this one way of showing how much they appreciate their customers who had been patronizing their products for years.
New store hours
From July 6, 2009, KFC and Taco Bell will be extending their hours of service from 8 a.m. until 10 p.m. Presently, the fast food closes at 9 p.m.
“This is to give our clients more time to avail of their favorites,” Panganiban added.
