BPS urges motorists to be responsible drivers

Aguon noted that there are still a lot of DUI incidents and more people were arrested every week for drunk and disorderly conducts. These happened despite the increase of penalty and despite the community’s massive campaign against Drunk driving. Meanwhile a person was hurt when a vehicle ran off the roadway on April 9 at 5:36 am in Ngchesar near the compact road. A woman called police and reported that a car went off the road and the driver was injured in the face.

The driver was transported to the hospital for treatment. Cause of the crash is still under investigation. In other police reports, police responded to two crash incidents over the weekend. Two vehicles that ran off the roadway were reported on April 12. The incidents happened in Meketii. The first crash incident happened because the driver was engaged in arguments while driving the vehicle.He lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a concrete wall by the Sure Save mart in Meketii.The other incident happened by the Ngaraard State office in Meketii at 3:40 pm on April 12.The vehicle ran off the roadway and fell into the ocean.The driver fled the scene.
