IN the spirit of Christmas, over 300 families on Saipan availed themselves of a holiday food giveaway courtesy of Bridge Capital LLC.
Families lined up at the Garapan Fishing Base beginning at 8 a.m. on Christmas Eve, in good spirits, and received a variety of food including bags of rice, oatmeal, corned beef, and pasta.
“This is something we’ve done for the last several years… It’s a great multi-purpose and very utilitarian food giveaway, and it’s something we do during Christmas time because the island is still hurting after Covid-19, and we want to do our part,” said Bridge Capital LLC General Manager Bart Jackson in an interview with Variety.
Jackson thanked Micronesian Brokers Inc. for working with Bridge Capital LLC to put together the holiday meal packages for Saipan families.
He added, “My holiday message to the people of the CNMI is be good to one another. Don’t give up. Things are getting better. Hang in there… We wish everyone a very healthy and happy holiday and a great new year!”
