The owner Larry Soliven, in a phone interview yesterday said that somebody tried to break in at his business establishment, the New York Ice which is located across Mindzenty High School, Sunday night.
The attempted break in was discovered Monday morning when he and his wife went to the site to open the store.
The couple found that the volt lock of the front door was already deformed but the burglar failed to gain entry of the store because it has double locked inside.
The suspect tried to gain entry through the back window but failed to get in also.
The owner said the suspect stole the door’s lock.
The incident was reported to the police Monday at 11 am.
Last year, sometime in February, the store which was located near the post office in Madelaii was burglarized and the owner’s stereo, cash money and soft drinks were stolen.
The value of the stolen items is $1,200.
The owner said until now, no suspect has been identified and no suspect has been arrested yet.
