On Thursday at Saipan World Resort, kindergarten, first grade and second grade students of Kagman Elementary School recited poems, counted numbers and performed songs in the local Chamorro language during a meeting of the Public School System’s Principals and Program Leadership. On stage with the students is first grade teacher Lee Pangelinan. Not in photo is kindergarten Chamorro immersion teacher Mariama Nagato. The students are participants in the Chamorro Language Immersion Project.
