CHCC: 0 hospitalizations, 24 new Covid-19 cases

(Commonwealth Healthcare Corporation) — As of May 9, 2022, there were 0 individuals hospitalized as a result of Covid-19.

From May 2-8, 2022, there were 0 new hospitalizations

But 24 additional individuals had been confirmed positive for Covid-19, bringing the CNMI total to 11,305 cases since March 28, 2020.

Of the 24 cases:

3 on May 6, 2022

3 on May 7, 2022

1 on May 8, 2022

As of May 9, 2022, a total of 23,138 Covid-19 additional/booster vaccine shots had been administered. If the eligible population, 62% have received an additional dose. The vaccination rate is calculated using the 2020 Census population estimates for the CNMI and includes the eligible 5-year-olds and older population.

A total of 1,496 Covid-19 tests were conducted May 2-8, 2022:

461 on May 2, 2022

191 on May 3, 2022

29 on May 4, 2022

412 on May 5, 2022

356 on May 6, 2022

29 on May 7, 2022

18 on May 8, 2022

Of the total cases identified as of May 8, 2022:

11,262 recoveries

9 active cases

34 Covid-19-related deaths

Of the cases, 10,383 were identified via community testing  and 922 through travel testing.
