CIS detective passes finger print test

Detective Willy Mays Towai had just returned from an off-island trip where he attended a workshop and took a final test on finger prints.

Towai left Palau on June 25 and took the Finger Print Assessment Test from June 27 through July17.Towai passed the test. He will be certified later this month, which makes him the country’s first finger print expert.After taking the test, Towai also attended the Ridgeology workshop also in Vanuatu which took place from July 19 through July 31.Towai returned to Palau on August 3.Lt. Aloysius Alonz said there are four law enforcement officers from Palau that attended the workshop.Alonz said they already congratulated Towai for doing a good job and added that the CIS as well as the Ministry of Justice and the Bureau of Public Safety are proud of Towai.Alonz said Towai will be a great help in investigating and solving crimes.
