Climate change meeting held in Yap

The program, subtitled, “Impact of Climate Change on Food Security in the FSM,” is a year-long Australian government-funded project. It is implemented by the FSM Office of Environment and Emergency Management in collaboration with the Secretariat of the Pacific Community, the Cooperative Research and Extension of COM-FSM, and in Yap state by the Division of Agriculture and Forestry.

The  meeting in Yap focused on the following objectives: strengthening the FSM’s capacity to assess vulnerability to climate change, develop strategies, and identify what adaptation measures can be taken to protect food systems in the islands and enhance their resilience to climate change.
