THE Fraternal Order of Eagles, Saipan-Guam District, in partnership with the Marianas Eagles Club and the Marianas Lady Eagles group, alongside Pacific Amusement Inc. and the Saipan Billiards Association with the support of General Manager James Gebhard, proudly endorses the Summer Billiard Camp initiative.
The camp has a cohort of 18 eager participants, including notable individuals such as Brantley T. Amir, Zoe Althea S. Ardieta, Marl Gabriel Balignay, Paul Demetrius Calunsag, Nathaniel V. Coloma, Megan Mae Elayda, Gemrene Mae M. Eugenio, Gomez Sofia, Christanelle Mercado, Chrisdrea Mercado, Taemin Park, Bryan Raymundo, Ria Rengiil, Anthony Rivera, Jon Sablan, Jacob Templado, Oriah Valentine and Herman Villagomez.
The camp is currently in its second week under the tutelage of four committed volunteer pool instructors: Mei Rengiil, Maverick Espiñosa, Jerry Soriano, and Rowel Mariano.
The primary goal of the Summer Billiard Camp is to encourage physical activity and diminish dependence on electronic devices, offering a holistic and captivating experience for all participants.
Held at the Black 8 Pool Bar in Garapan, the camp provides an ideal setting for learning and friendly competition, fostering a conducive environment for skill enhancement.
Beyond refining their billiard abilities, participants are experiencing the bonds of camaraderie and sportsmanship within the camp. The Marianas Eagles Club and Marianas Lady Eagles Club are deeply invested in the camp’s success, overseeing meal arrangements to ensure participants are adequately nourished and energized for the challenges that lie ahead.
As anticipation mounts for the forthcoming tournament in two weeks, participants are eagerly gearing up for the competition. The tournament will feature distinct categories for girls and boys, with coveted trophies prepared for the champions of each division.
To enhance the overall camp experience, cue sticks will be distributed as a symbol of gratitude for the participants’ unwavering dedication and efforts. Moreover, all attendees will receive a certificate of completion to commemorate their involvement in the enriching Summer Billiard Camp.
