(CNMI SBDC) — The Tinian Small Business Development Center at Northern Marianas College, in collaboration with the Commonwealth Economic Development Authority, will be hosting a vital training session on Friday, Oct. 18, 2024, from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the NMC Tinian Center, Room D. This event will feature a presentation by the CEDA Loan Department, which will provide an overview of the various loan programs available to small businesses, including the newly approved State Small Business Credit Initiative 2.0 for the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands.
The training aims to equip local small business owners with crucial financial tools and resources to help grow and sustain their businesses. In addition to the presentation, registered attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a Q&A session and engage in one-on-one consultations with CEDA representatives to explore loan options that best suit their business needs.
Tinian SBDC’s director and business advisor, Benjamin Huk Borja, emphasized the importance of small businesses taking advantage of CEDA’s programs, especially in the current economic climate. “With the introduction of SSBCI 2.0, there are opportunities for entrepreneurs to access critical funding. I encourage all small business owners to attend this training, ask questions, and explore how these resources can support their growth,” said Borja.
Small businesses play an essential role in the economic development of Tinian and the CNMI, and this training offers an invaluable opportunity for local entrepreneurs to learn more about securing financing and developing their enterprises.
