and make their tax payments for the first quarter 2008.
The Chief of Division of Revenue and Taxation Ricardo Bausoch in a press statement said that a “notice” is being delivered to each to business to inform them of the deadline.
The deadline set is May 22.
The deadline was either to pay their taxes or make arrangement to pay their taxes.
The press release further stated that any business that fails to beat the deadline will have their business license revoked by 1 p.m. of May 22, Thursday.
Bausoch added that tax officials will begin visiting each business that fails to respond to remove the revoked business license and make sure the business ceased operation.
He further warned that each business may be cited for and charge with failing to file a return and make tax payment pursuant to 40 PNCA S 1205 which is punishable upon conviction as mandated to 40 PNCA S 1704 with imprisonment of up to one year which carries a fine of up to $1,000 or both.
