DD Hunt Palacios, a 40-year-old mother of five and originally from Saipan, was ranked no. 1 in the ongoing Miss Health and Fitness contest as of Monday.

The winner will be featured on the cover of Muscle and Fitness HERS and take home the grand prize of $20,000.
Palacios, who is a fulltime broker, said she wants to be an inspiration to other women. “I look up to women and mothers who make it happen every day. It’s inspiring,” she told Fox News in an interview.
She said boxing is her preferred choice of fitness because of the many life lessons one can learn from the sport.
She continuously trained, competed and won her first boxing match after having a set of twins.
“I’ve learned many lessons about perseverance, focus, and overcoming hardships then and now,” she said. “As a single mother of two sets of twins, and a singleton, I’ve used those same lessons to face the daunting task of raising my family. It motivates me to keep fighting to win the day,” she added.
