DPS: No foul play in death of man at construction site

NO foul play was suspected in the death of a man at a construction site, Department of Public Safety spokesman Dre Pangelinan said. The man died of sudden cardiac arrest, Variety learned.

DPS said police responded Friday to a report regarding a man who was found by other workers lying lifeless at a residential construction site in Chalan Kanoa.

The victim, who was in his 50s, was employed by TFC construction company which is subcontracting laborers to RNV Construction for construction projects.

According to a source who requested anonymity, prior to the incident, the victim said he was “not feeling good,” and told the other workers at the construction site that he was thinking of taking the rest of the day off.

That Friday, the workers at the construction site took a break to eat lunch and rest a bit. When they went back to work later, they noticed the victim  lying on a bench.

During their afternoon break, the workers noticed that the man was unresponsive, and this prompted them to call for emergency assistance.

DPS did not provide any other information about the victim.
