Minister Gibbons said their priority right now is to find the rifle which has been missing since December.
“Our main concern is whoever is keeping the rifle may have bad intentions that’s why we need to find it to prevent any potential crimes,” he said.Gibbons said the rifle is a very high powered rifle.“We don’t know the intentions or the purpose for keeping it that’s why our focus now is to find that rifle. We can always replace it but that is not the issue. The main issue is we have to prevent any crimes,” he said. The minister also said that the Bureau of Public Safety will soon have a GPS system to improve the radio communication system of the police. He said through a grant from Taiwan, the department will be able to use a system which will help police locate any crimes.“We are looking forward to implement that project soon,” he said.
