Four more conditional pardons

Tilde Eriich was convicted for exploiting a trafficked person, aiding and abetting a violation of the FIA and two violations of the labor laws and regulations.

Eriich was convicted on March 1, 2007. Fine owed to Eriich is remitted from $20,000 to $10,000

Eriich shall pay all fines and restitution ordered by the court. Upon certification of payment by the clerk of court, Eriich is pardoned.

Thomas Rumong, meanwhile was convicted for possession of methamphetamine. He was convicted on Sept. 20, 2006.

Rumong shall pay fines and restitution and upon certification of payment, he is pardoned.

Scott Meltel convicted for trafficking methamphetamine on March 5, 2007 was also granted conditional pardon.

Meltel shall abide all orders of the Parole Board. If Meltel does not have his parole revoked for a period of five years, he is pardoned.

Charlie Matsutaro was convicted for attempted possession of a firearm in 2004 and conspiracy to traffic methamphetamine in 2006.

Matsutaro will pay all fines ordered by the court. Upon certification of his payment, he is then pardoned.

Earlier, President Remengesau granted pardons to 13 convicts. The president said that most of them are convicted felons and not in prison anymore as earlier reported.
