GFD: 911 services ‘currently unavailable’; Will be restored ‘as soon as possible’

HAGÅTÑA (The Guam Daily Post) — The Guam Fire Department has announced that 911 serves are currently unavailable.

As of Thursday morning, at about 11 a.m., 911 wireless and landline services were “currently unavailable,” according to GFD spokesperson Nick Garrido.

“If anyone in the public is needed emergency services (GFD, EMS and/or Police) please proceed to the nearest fire station of police precinct,” Garrido stated.

“At this time we do not have an ETA for restoration of services but are working diligently with our service provider to ensure emergency services are restored as soon as possible,” Garrido added while also issuing contact information for the fire stations and police precincts.
