(GMS) — On Saturday, March 13, 2021, the National Junior Speech and Debate Association held its regional competition online.
The Green Meadow School Falcons are no strangers to NJSDA competitions and did not hesitate to practice and prepare the video entries for their performance pieces. With multiple victories secured over the last two months, NJSDA coaches and teachers helped prepare their students’ final entries for the regional competition.
To no one’s surprise, the Falcons did well, but the biggest honor went to GMS 8th grader Chealzka Navarro who topped the master’s Impromptu division and placed third in Declamation.
With her victory, Navarro secured a spot on the CNMI NJSDA national team.
Alongside with Chealzka were her fellow Falcons in the master’s division: 7th grader Edsel Hinolan who finished fourth in Declamation; 7th grader Ezra Alfred, fifth in Dramatic Interpretation; 6th grader Trishthony Duarte, third in Dramatic Interpretation and fifth in Poetry; and 6th grader Louise Manansala, fifth in Declamation.
Your teachers, coaches and parents are all so very proud of you Falcons! Keep up the good work and keep on soaring!
