Governor swears in reappointed MVA board member Agida Quitugua Manglona

GOVERNOR Ralph DLG Torres has sworn in Agida T. Quitugua Manglona to continue representing Rota on the Marianas Visitors Authority board of directors.

Manglona’s renomination by the governor was confirmed recently by the Senate.

In an interview, she said she is looking forward to more collaboration with the MVA management and staff, and the other board members.

She said she also intends to push forward Rota Mayor Efraim Atalig’s tourism plans for the municipality.

“All these plans will be presented to the MVA board,” Manglona said.

“I am excited to collaborate and make things happen not only for Rota but also the rest of the Marianas — Tinian and Saipan and the Northern Islands.”

She expressed her appreciation to Gov. Torres for his trust in reappointing her to the MVA board. She also thanked and praised MVA’s management and staff for the work they do for the agency.

Manglona was first appointed to the MVA board in 2018 for a four-year term. The governor then reappointed her to the MVA board.
