Hasselback to withdraw as IPI lawyer in six civil lawsuits

ATTORNEY George Hasselback has filed his intention of withdrawing as Imperial Pacific International LLC’s lawyer in six civil lawsuits in federal court.

Hasselback asked the court to set the hearing date for his motion to withdraw for Feb. 11 at 1:30 p.m. A personal representative of IPI should attend the hearing, he added.

He said he has informed IPI senior vice president for public affairs Tao Xing, former IPI CEO Donald Browne, attorney Michael Dotts, and IPI staffers How-Yo Chi, and Remy C. Mafnas that the court is expecting a personal representative for IPI in the hearing.

Hasselback represented IPI in the lawsuits filed by Pacific Rim Land Development LLC, Tang’s Corporation, Sardini Group LLC, Fox Financial LLC, Johnny M. Aquino Professional Corporation, and Pingshun Corporation.

Hasselback did not say why he is withdrawing from representing IPI in the lawsuits, which were filed against the Saipan casino investor for nonpayment of services rendered by the plaintiffs.
