Magellan Bemert and Baikot Ngirabekuu were arrested on Tuesday morning in Airai State.
According to the police report, at around 8:30 p.m. on April 5 Sergeant Israel Brel assigned at the DOC reported that the two inmates escaped from jail.
Patrol Division immediately conducted manhunt operation against the two prisoners. After several hours police located them in Airai State.
In another news, a woman was arrested on Saturday for stabbing a man in Ngesekes.
The suspect identified as Rolmii Oshima while the victim identified as Ngirabung Ngirabeku.
Police investigation showed, the victim was sleeping together with his wife inside their house in Ngesekes when the suspect entered the victim’s house armed with 14 inches Hikori knife and stabbed Ngirabeku.
The victim sustained injuries on his left lower back. However, the victim still managed to walk to the police and reported the incident. Police transported him to the hospital.
The suspect, meanwhile, is now being charged of assault and battery with dangerous weapons.
