The suspects were arrested by personnel of Criminal Investigation Section for burglary, grand larceny and malicious mischief charges.
Lt. Aloysius Alonz said that the investigation has been completed and the case will be forwarded to the Attorney General’s Office for proper disposition.The burglary and the grand larceny were reported to the police on July 13 at 3:44 am.Lt. Alonz said that investigation revealed that the suspects broke the front glass door and entered the establishment.The suspects then stole several pieces of liquors and boxes of cigarettes from the establishment then fled the scene.The incident was forwarded to the CIS for investigation and after a day of hard works, the investigator tracked down the suspects and arrested them on Wednesday.Lt. Alonz said that CIS personnel also arrested five men for forgery, cheating and grand larceny.The suspects were apprehended on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.The suspects were positively identified as the persons who stole company checks and used it to purchase items at WCTC.The checks belong to Computer Plus.The incident was reported to the CIS on July 8.Investigation revealed that personnel of Computer Plus were moving some things from one place to another and they asked help from the suspects.The suspects then stole old checks and used it to purchase items from WCTC.The theft was revealed when some of the checks bounced due to close account.Alonz said they were able to recover over $500 worth of stolen checks.
