Sgt. Michael Rafael said that the juvenile was spotted by a police officer in front of the Mobil gas station in Topside at 11 pm.
The officer then approached the juvenile but the latter pulled out a machete and swung it to the police officer.But the juvenile who was tipsy fell down and lost his grip of the machete.The juvenile immediately stood up and ran away.Meanwhile, a juvenile was also rushed to the hospital due to stab wounds in the forearm and leg.The victim was on his way to the hospital when spotted by police officer in Kesebelau, Airai, at 11:30 pm on Saturday.The officer escorted the juvenile to the hospital for treatment.Sgt. Rafael said the juvenile refused to tell the officer why and how he was stabbed.The incident is still under investigation.Meanwhile theft incident at PCC was also reported to the police over the weekend.The CRE office of the Palau Community College was burglarized at 3 am on Saturday and items have been stolen.The burglar broke the glass window to gain entry of the office.The police report also indicated that PCC’s generator was also stolen Friday afternoon. The generator was placed at the back of upper bound office of the PCC.A woman also came to the police station on Saturday and reported that her cell phone was stolen at her employer’s residence in Ngerkebesang.
