The arrest is part of the police efforts to eliminate illegal drinking and other alcohol related offense.
Sgt. Michael Rafael identified the arrested persons as Flavian Rubasch, 42; Norman Worswick, 36; Marcella Anastacia, 36; Raid Rikrik, 24; Yaumovitch Termeteet, 34; Jessie M. Benjamin, 26; Olson Otei; Anfion Ridep, 27; Pablo Max Alik; Mogan Delboi, 27; Angel Alilau, 46; Christopher Techur, 23; Elode Hosei, 65; William Mobel Jr., 32; Rechucher Towai, 26.Rubasch, Worswick, Anastacia, Rikrik, Termeteet, Benjamin, Mobel and Towai were arrested for public drinking in front of the H & B liquor store in Ngerkesuaol Friday night and in front of the Ministry of Education building in Madelaii early Sunday morning.Hosei, Delboi were arrested for causing disturbance at a residences in Ngermid and Ngerbeched, Saturday night and Sunday night.A juvenile was arrested for illegal consumption of alcohol and disturbing the peace early Saturday morning at 4 J’s store in Ngerbeched.Otei, Ridep, Alik, Alilau and Techur were all cited for drunk driving for operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol.They were booked and detained after they failed the Field Sobriety Test and the Breathalizer Test.A man was also cited for failing to yield the right of way to another motorist when he hit the latter’s car Friday afternoon.The victim’s car was about to make a left turn and was parked at the center lane when the suspect hit his car in front of the Palau High School.The Task Force is composed of ten personnel from different section namely Marine Law Enforcement Office, Criminal Investigation Section, Patrol and Fish and Wildlife.The Task force is under the supervision of Chief Ismael Aguon.
